The Eminent Domain is a U.S. law that allows the government to take the private property and to use that for the public goods. One of the main conditions of the Eminent Domain is that to take the property of the individual, the government has to provide the compensation to the owner ("Annotation 14 - Fifth Amendment", 2019). As it has been mentioned in the video, initially the Eminent Domain law has been used to develop the public goods like the road, park, and bridge, but as the corporations got a power, Eminent Domain has been used for the corporate gains.
